The contract-to-close period is undoubtedly an exciting time, but it can also be very stressful. Buying a home is probably one of the most emotionally charged, financially significant investments you will ever make. Let me help guide you through the minor details and hiccups to ensure that your purchase reaches a successful conclusion and that your interests are protected along the way.
As your real estate attorney, I will take the time to learn the specific details of your transaction, so I am able to tailor my services to meet your specific needs. I will make sure that you fully understand each step of the process, are aware of any obstacles you may face, and are as prepared as possible to close on your new home. Most importantly, I make myself readily available to address all of your questions and concerns as they arise - no matter the time of day - by providing all clients with my personal cell phone number. Whether its noon on a Wednesday or 7:00pm on a Sunday, you will be able to get ahold of me. Depending on where you are in the process, my representation of you as a buyer will include the following services: 
  • Providing you with an overview of the closing process and helping identify possible issues specific to your purchase that you will want to address in your initial offer;
  • Reviewing the Purchase and Sale Agreement with you to make sure that you understand its provisions, that it properly reflects your agreement with the seller, and that it addresses your specific concerns. To protect your interests, I will work with your real estate agent to negotiate revisions with the seller, as necessary;
  • Working closely with your real estate agent to address issues uncovered during your inspection;  
  • Communicating with your Mortgage Lender to process mortgage documents and ensuring your Lender issues the loan commitment letter in a timely manner;
  • Reviewing the results of the title search and addressing any problems or unexpected restrictions;
  • Drafting and negotiating any necessary extensions and/or addenda to the Agreement; 
  • Calculating adjustments; 
  • Attending the closing and supervising the purchase.
